Registration Deadline for Latin and French Classes at Walton for Eighth Grade Students

Information and registration forms for the special early-morning Latin and French classes held at Walton for eighth grade students were distributed this week.  Completion of the class provides a full year of high school language credit.  Additional forms are available in the Dickerson office.  Completed registration forms should be returned to the front desk at Walton by Friday, August 13.  Classes will begin on August 16.

Summer Reading Information for Rising Ninth Graders

Walton High School has high expectations for the incoming class of 2014.  The Walton English Department has required summer reading work to assure success.  The required summer reading list for freshmen is:

English 92 (college prep) 

Of Mice and Men (Steinbeck)

English 91 (honors)

Of Mice and Men (Steinbeck)

And a choice of either:

Bless Me Ultima (Anayo) or Joy Luck Club (Tan)
