PENS (Police E-mail Notification System) is a notification network where the police can update the public about criminal activity in the area via email. It’s a communication channel between Cobb County residents and the police where citizens can sign up to receive email notices that alert them about criminal activity and trends and, in return, can ask questions or provide community input to the police and receive timely responses.
The police keep the community informed of crime trends and statistics, and criminal activity as well as providing crime prevention tips. The PENS program has helped knit the community together, reducing crime and opening communication. Dickerson Middle School is the first PTSA join combine efforts with the PENS program. We are proud to be able to bring Dickerson and our community closer together.
