The Word on the Hall  is YOUR newspaper, YOUR voice in the school….completely written by YOU!
If you would like to join this exciting team that brings all the latest news to print, bring yourself and your friends to our first meeting on Tuesday, August 25th, 8am, Room E3. We will meet every Tuesday morning throughout the school year.

My son/daughter is interested in joining the Dickerson Student Newspaper, Word on the Hall. I understand that meetings are held on Tuesday mornings, 8:00am at Dickerson. I will transport my child to school at this time. Students are not required to attend every meeting to participate. They can also work on stories and reporting at home.

The student newspaper, WORD ON THE HALL, will have a new column this year specifically dedicated to recognizing Dickerson students’ achievements and awards in school related activities.  The activities should be limited to academic and extra-curricular programs sponsored by DMS or Cobb County Public Schools.  Entries may include groups or single students. 

 

To make a recommendation, please send the following information to the DMS front office in the box provided.

Please list the following:

Student name

grade, activity name, award or placement

your name & telephone number

 

All student entries must be signed by a parent or teacher. Please note that all entries will be confirmed with a parent or teacher prior to being listed in Word on the Hall.
